How to Set Up IPTV Smarters on iPhone, iPad or Apple TV
Configure IPTV Smarters on iOS and tvOS using the App Store version, including how to move playback to a television with AirPlay.
Before you begin
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 14 or newer, or an Apple TV running tvOS 14 or newer
- Your Apollo Group TV access details
Step-by-step setup
- 1
Install IPTV Smarters from the App Store
Open the App Store and search for IPTV Smarters. Install it on the iPhone, iPad or Apple TV you want to watch on. Sideloading is not possible on iOS, so the App Store is the only route here.
- 2
Add your account
Open the app and add a new user, then enter the details from your activation email. On iOS you can paste rather than type, which removes the single most common cause of setup errors.
- 3
Let the guide load
Wait for the channel list and programme guide to finish downloading before browsing. Interrupting that first sync is what usually leaves you with a half-populated guide.
- 4
Send it to the television
On iPhone or iPad, open Control Centre and use Screen Mirroring to reach an Apple TV or a compatible television. For everyday viewing, installing IPTV Smarters directly on an Apple TV gives a more reliable picture than mirroring does.
Tips for this device
- Mirroring drains an iPhone battery quickly. Keep it on a charger during long sessions.
- On cellular data, drop the stream quality. An hour of high-definition video moves through a data allowance fast.
If something does not work
Most problems at this stage come down to a typo in the credentials or an interrupted first sync. Re-enter the details carefully, watching for capital letters and trailing spaces, then let the guide finish loading before touching anything.
If playback starts but stutters, work through the buffering diagnostic guide. If you are not sure whether your connection is fast enough, the speed guide has the numbers. Still stuck? Contact support with your device model and what the screen says.
