Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before buying and in the first week afterwards. If your question is not here, support will answer it directly.

What exactly is an Apollo Group TV subscription?

An Apollo Group TV subscription is a prepaid streaming plan that gives one household access to live programming and a large on-demand catalogue over the internet. You pay once for a fixed term, receive your access details, sign in on the app or player you prefer, and start watching. There is no set-top box to rent, no installer visit and no equipment deposit.

How much does Apollo Group TV cost?

Pricing depends on how many devices stream at once and how long a term you choose. For a single device, one month is $14.95, three months is $29.95, six months is $44.95 and twelve months is $59.95 - roughly $5.00 a month. For two devices those same terms are $19.95, $39.95, $69.95 and $119.95. For three devices they are $24.95, $49.95, $89.95 and $149.95. Every plan carries the identical content library; only the device count and the length of the term change.

How many devices can watch at the same time?

That depends on the plan you pick. Plans are sold for one, two or three simultaneous devices, so a three-device plan lets three people watch three different things at the same time. You can install the service on as many devices as you like and sign in from any of them - the limit applies only to how many are actively streaming at the same moment.

Which devices are supported?

The service works on any device that can run a standard streaming player. That covers Amazon Firestick and Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV boxes, Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, Apple TV, Windows PCs, Mac, most Samsung and LG smart televisions, NVIDIA Shield, MAG boxes and Enigma2 receivers. If your device runs apps and connects to the internet, it will almost certainly work.

How fast does my internet need to be?

A stable 15 Mbps connection is enough for a single high-definition stream. For 4K content, allow 25 Mbps or more per stream. If several people in the house will stream at once, add roughly 15 Mbps for each additional viewer. Connection stability matters more than raw speed: a steady 20 Mbps wired connection outperforms an unstable 100 Mbps signal at the edge of Wi-Fi range.

Is a VPN required?

A VPN is not required for the service to work. Some customers use one out of general privacy preference, and the service functions normally alongside a VPN. If you do use one, choose a provider with servers close to your physical location, because routing your traffic through a distant country adds latency that can cause buffering on live streams.

How quickly will I get access after paying?

Activation is normally completed within a few minutes of a confirmed payment. Your access details are emailed to the address used at checkout. During occasional high-volume periods it can take up to a few hours. If nothing has arrived after that, check your spam folder first, then contact support with your order reference and the team will resend it.

Does the subscription renew automatically?

No. Every plan is a one-time payment for a fixed term. Nothing is stored to charge you again, and nothing renews on its own. When the term is up, the subscription simply stops unless you choose to extend it. This is deliberate: you should never be billed for a service you forgot you had.

Can I upgrade or extend before my plan ends?

Yes. You can extend at any point during an active term and the new time is added on top of what you already have, rather than replacing it. Extending early is usually the cheapest way to move to a longer plan, because the longer terms carry a lower monthly rate.

What happens if a stream buffers or freezes?

Start with the basics: restart the app, then the device, then the router. Most buffering traces back to local Wi-Fi rather than the service itself, so if the device can take an ethernet cable, try that. If a specific stream is still unstable after those steps, contact support with the name of the stream and the time it happened, so the team can check that source directly rather than guessing.

Is there a refund policy?

Refund terms are set out in full on the refund policy page. In short, if the service will not work on your setup and support cannot resolve it, raise it promptly and the team will work through it with you. Refund requests need to come with enough detail to investigate: the device you tried, what happened and when.

How do I get help if something goes wrong?

Support is reachable through the contact page seven days a week. The fastest resolutions come from messages that include your order reference, the device you are using, and a short description of what you see on screen. That gives the team everything needed to diagnose the issue on the first reply rather than the third.

Question not answered here?

Support answers seven days a week. Include your device and what the screen shows and you will usually get it resolved in one reply.
